Despite the fact that progressives refuse to accept the truth, the more liberal a school or college is, the less its students learn.
What they actually learn in these slime pits of distortion and lies is how to berate Republicans and conservatives (who actually are very different from one another).
- And how to seek, find, and hide in “safe spaces.” Like a closet.
- And how to advocate for people who are male but think they’re really female. And vice-versa.
- And, of course, how to defend the Mediterranean Tree Squirrel’s habitat 13 different ways.
- And how to defend Islamic savages they call a “religion of peace” rather than branding them as the animals and violent creatures they are.
But as far as teaching these sorry excuses for Americans anything useful, accurate or appropriate? Fuhgetaboudit!
For instance, in ultra-liberal Sarasota Florida, Florida College lost its funding over its “inability to prepare students for the workforce.”
Florida, a rapidly-growing bastion of left wing libtards fleeing the garbage-strewn northeast is experimenting with an innovative funding scheme for schools. And, it turns out, one of its very liberal “honors universities” failed to meet a key ranking requirement.
It was ranked in the top five best value liberal arts colleges and one of the best public liberal arts universities by college ranking institutions — but we all know the outcome when liberals rank liberals. It’s like expecting the loons at Comcast-NBC to criticize MSNBC.
But the new performance ranking system for public universities means that the very liberal New College of Florida (NCF) could miss out on millions of dollars of state funding because it ranked so low by the new criteria.
NCF is a liberal arts university (aren’t they all these days?) that focuses on independent research and collaboration rather than credit hours and GPAs. Meaning its graduates qualify for… nothing.
But alas (for liberals) the new Florida state funding system focuses on a university’s ability to actually TEACH (imagine that!) and prepare its students for the workforce — and New College failed that grade.
It is one of only three state schools that fell below the required standards and as a result will not receive any of the $100 million the state is allocating to public universities. The other two are the University of West Florida in Pensacola and Florida Atlantic University in ultra lunatic liberal Boca Raton. No surprise there, either.
The three low scoring super-liberal universities are set to lose 1.0 percent of their base budget because of their ranking this year. But lawmakers want that to eventually go to 5.0 percent of their base budget in order to ensure universities take the standards seriously and stop the liberal shtick.
The new ranking system judges the universities on 10 different criteria, such as whether students go to graduate school or are employed full time within a year of graduation, starting salaries, and average cost of the undergraduate degree. The Florida Board of Governors, which oversees the state’s public universities, decided on the system early last year.
This is what should be done to EVERY liberal college and university in the country — until they collapse financially and we can Make America Great Again!
